Drops

A drop is how new work arrives on ArtMatch. We work directly with an artist to create pieces you can only get here. Each drop opens at an announced moment and is limited, either to a set number of prints or to a window of time. When a drop closes, that work is closed with it.

A set number of prints, agreed with the artist before the drop opens. An edition of 50 means fifty will ever exist. Once they're spoken for, the edition is closed and we never print more.

A drop that stays open for a set window of time instead of a set number. Everyone who orders inside the window gets the work, and the final edition size is simply the number of orders placed. When the window closes, the edition is sealed. Because every print is made to order after the window closes, your piece goes into production then, and we email you tracking the moment it ships.

Join our mailing list at the bottom of the page. We send a short note when something beautiful arrives, and list members hear before anyone else. Taking the style quiz helps too, because then we know which drops to put in front of you. We also announce on Instagram and X.

Not formally. When a drop opens, it's first come, first served. But if there's a work you're waiting for, tell our curator at support@tryartmatch.com and we'll make sure you hear the moment the window opens.

No. A closed edition stays closed. That's the promise that makes it an edition. The exception on ArtMatch is the Classic Masters collection, which is an open edition by design: those works belong to everyone, and they stay available.

Originals are one of a kind, so they don't drop in editions. Many are available to buy directly on the site. For our most significant originals, the purchase is handled personally: you'll see Book a free Art Advisory on the page, and a real person walks you through it.
